Although we are 4, Ligtas has a rich and diverse heritage that spans over 30 years of delivering health and safety expertise.

The journey for our consultancy team started in 1992 as National Britannia to the Ligtas you know today. As you can imagine, from those early days, we have learned a lot over the years about the importance of providing our clients with peace of mind, expert help and support when they need it.

As we move forward, we invite you to join us in imagining a world where everyone feels safe and protected. A world where workplaces, homes and public spaces are secure, and people can live their lives without fear.

Celebrating Our Team

The celebrations wouldn’t be complete without also celebrating our dedicated team and how much of themselves they have given to make this anniversary possible. It is our team’s continuous efforts and loyalty that have helped us turn our vision into a reality.

Because of our team, we can continue to deliver exceptional value. They are the heart and soul of our organisation, embodying a spirit of openness, curiosity, and a passion for tackling challenges head-on. They channel their wealth of knowledge, experience expertise to support one another and provide exceptional service to our clients.

Our people recognise the importance of going beyond the ordinary, ensuring that our services are never a mere checkbox exercise. Every team member deeply cares about health and safety, recognising its significance and impact on individuals, organisations, and communities.

Spotlight On Some Of Our Team

One of our longest-serving team members, Donna McKay, joined the business working in our postroom. During her time here, Donna has achieved her Leadership & Management Level 5 qualification and is now our Head of Operational Planning, Scheduling and Administration.

Donna comments, “We have seen a lot of changes over the years, but the ethos of putting our client at the heart of everything we do has remained.”

Another shining example is Jess Evans, who started in our scheduling team and has since flourished into the role of Business Development Manager. Jess’s progression within the company illustrates how hard work and dedication pay off, opening doors to new opportunities.

These are not the only people who have seen their careers progress. Ligtas has implemented new Heads of Services roles to create an even greater focus on delivering our clients help, support and expert advice.

In addition, as we grow, we want our people to grow with us. That’s why we’ve put a significant emphasis on nurturing talent through our comprehensive career progression programs. The first of these is our Fire Door Inspector Trainee Programme and our Junior Consultant role.

Employees can climb the ladder of success through dedication, hard work, and continuous learning, securing higher-level positions and increased responsibilities.
